Highlander Shepherds Kennel was established in 1996 when we purchased our first Shiloh Shepherd and fell in love with the breed.

Our kennel name has changed slightly to Highlander Shiloh Shepherds. We are still committed to producing dogs with stable temperaments, super intelligence and great size.  We have both plush and smooth coat varieties.  Our breeding program is very selective and our litters are home-raised.

We are excited to announce that we have made changes in our affiliations and our commitments.  It should be of interest for those who are reading this story about Highlander Shilohs to know that this kennel was affiliated with the Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club of America, Inc. (SSDCA) and the International Shiloh Shepherd Registry, Inc. (ISSR) for over 10 years.  And in spite of what may be written about this breed  and its various breeders on other websites – we STILL have “original Shiloh Shepherds” residing here – yes – the “real deal”!  I will be happy to clarify this statement with anyone who chooses to seek the truth. Our desire to produce fantastic Shilohs has not changed!  We remain dedicated to the breed and to the people who are involved with it.  The politics will always be there and it is unfortunate that we are constantly being reminded that it exists, but Highlander Shiloh Shepherds also recognizes that that is not where most people find themselves.  You will find us empathetic with all of our clients and/or associates and ever willing to assist with any given situation.

My expertise is wide spread in the world of dogs in general and Shilohs specifically.  We have previously been involved in many areas of the Shiloh world in the past and continue that involvement now.  I am qualified to do Litter Evaluations, certified to do Adult Temperament testing, have shown, pointed and championed many of our Shilohs and have even taken an active part in judging this great breed.  Highlander Shiloh Shepherds has produced at least 8 litters of quality Shiloh pups and takes great pride in having done so. We also share our home with 18 Shilohs and 2 German Shepherds.
